BickerBoy and PowerBall and Josh go to CAMP!!

BB and PB packed up their labelled underwear, picked up their friend Josh Mann-Brown and headed to Southern Oregon for Kirstin Salvito's very first

SOUTHER OREGON DOG SPORTS CAMP!

Besides sharing their love of Weight Pull as instructors, the boys also got an introduction to a number of different events!

FIRST: POWERBALL DID RALLY!

We got to weave some cones!  PB is a bit jealous that his sister BWJ already has her rally titles and he is a bit put off that his mom won't do the AKC thing very often.  PB's Mom finds AKC stuffy but she does like rally. 

Even though it was REALLY hot, PB was more than willing to play along.

BEHAVIOR SHAPING

Kirstin is a positive trainer and we leared to do some KLICKER training - or is it Clicker training.  Here we shaped behavior to encourage the kids to step on a skate board.  This is definately Josh's rhelm but BB and PB did OK for a couple of beginners!

CHASING BAGS IN A FIELD

Now, this was an event to die for said PowerBall!  The dogs absolutely LOVED this event and I have never heard labs scream before.  PowerBall of course felt that the plastic baggie must be stopped and even Josh had a hard time holding the screaming PB back.

DOCK DIVING

Now, here we had an interesting start.  Josh had to show PB that the object of the game is to JUMP off the dock and score the ball!

"Here you go PowerBall.  Here is your ball - come and get it!"

HOW DARE YOU TAKE MY BALL YOU BRAT!  GIVE IT TO ME!  POWER SURGE!!!!!!

What you can't see are the olympic score keepers rushing the edge of the pool trying to sign PB up for the Bejing Olympics in the high dive.  We call this the AmStaff areobatics and the PowerBall Plunk!

Actually, by the end of the session, Josh and Matthew had PowerBall running out of the pool, down the ramp, to the end of the dock, up the dock stairs, waiting on the end until they threw the ball and PB would run and jump off for the big score!  Unfortunately, the only picture I have of this is on my cell phone!

Of course, where ever there are campers, there ALWAYS is some behing the scenes kissing going on.  BAAAAAD Stormy!  BAAAAD BickerBoy!
